Gelding - 164cm – 16.1hh
Thoroughbred, by King Marker, out of South Waves

We brought Skippy at the end of 2015, he was straight off the track. Skippy then went on to compete in up to 80cm eventing and 95cm show jumping. Showing lots of potential with some double clear but also usual "baby mistakes". He was turned out on the hill all of 2017 (due to my work load). He came back into work in March this year, where I have been taking him slowly and he is responding really well.

Since Skippy been back in work he has been going really nice, still has a lot muscle building to go! I competed him at the Waihora PC ODE – 65cm where he was awesome getting 32.3 in dressage, going clear in XC and 1 rail in SJ, and that was because I had only jumped him once since being back into work.

Skippy is the sweetest boy always wanting kisses and hugs. He can have a week off and then jump back on him and good as gold. Skippy is great to brush, gear up, standing at the float, shoe, clip and truck (he’s learning to float again, he is really good and loading and travelling but like’s to rush off). We have floated him up to Blenheim by himself.

I would love to see him go to a competitive home where someone can get him to full potential. He would also be great for someone returning to riding & they can learn together.

It’s not Skippy’s fault he is being sold, as I have 2 other eventers and other winter sport commitments, so have no time to be giving all 3 the time they deserve, Skippy is pretty special so will only be sold to the right home!
