Valentino O is the first Vitalis foal in New Zealand. Judged Premium at the NZ Hanoverian 2018 Tour.
Valentino has an international pedigree. His breeding is second to none; Vitalis and Vivaldi are two of the most desired stallions today. His imported dam carries the influential sires Swarovski/Rubinstein/Davignon (Donnerhall) and Bolero. Needless to say, Valentino has international paces (canter graded 9).
Valentino is elegant and very trainable. This colt is a serious dressage prospect who is sure to make his mark.
His sire Vitalis is modern and has impressed the breeding world with his huge, elastic trot and relaxed, rhythmic canter. He is very rideable.
He was Reserve Champion of the main NRW licensing in 2009, dominated the dressage index of his stallion performance test in 2010 in Warendorf and shortly after, dominated the US Championship of his generation. With Isabel Freese, the pair went on to win the 2016 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals. In addition, Vitalis’ daughter Victoria’s Secret became the 2016 World Young Horse Champion in Ermelo while Vitalis won the Intermédiaire I and was distinguished as “Stallion of the Year”.
Vitalis debuted at stud in 2016 and since his Westphalian Licensing in 2009 has produced some spectacular horses. Notable offspring include Valverde, the dressage winner of the Westphalian licensing 2016, In Rhineland in 2014, his daughter Virginia K was the winner of the elite show and at the Westphalian Week, all five of the three-year-old mare and gelding finalists were offspring of Vitalis. At an elite auction in Münster-Handorf, the four top priced horses were offspring of Vitalis with two selling for over 200.000 euros each. So far, 19 of his sons have been licensed, including Veneno who sold for 310.000 euros.
Daughter of Vitalis, Victoria’s Secret was German National Champion in 2015, two other descendants of Vitalis also reached the final, and his daughter Vienna was at the top of the Westphalian elite mare show. The previous year in 2014, Virginia K (2014) won the Elite Show. In 2016, the licensed Villeneuve won the bronze medal at the German national championships of the four-year-old stallions.
In 2017, Vitalis was awarded seventh place FN dressage breeding valuation (151 points)
Vivaldi is one of the most desired dressage sires of his generation and comes from the well regarded Utopia line. Vivaldi, has 19 licensed sons and in 2017 he was second best stallion of the FN dressage breeding valuation throughout Germany (168 points).
He was Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test .He won the five-year-old Pavo-Cup in 2008, was three times winner of "Hengstencompetitie" and in 2009 won the final of KWPN tournament series for stallions, where he received 10.0 for his trot.
In 2007 Vivaldi won the Pavo Cup for five year old horses. In 2015 and in 2016, Vivaldi’s sons dominated the Pavo-Cup and World Championships of five and six year old dressage horses.
Dam line. The dam of this colt carries a long list of influential licensed stallions. Swarovski, Rubinstein, Davignon (Donnerhall), Bolero. Dam sire Swarovski, was Champion of Dressage in his 2007 30 Day Performance Test in Neustadt Dosse – Reserve Champion of the 2006 Licensing. Swarovski shows enormous elasticity and balance with very good gaits and rideability. In the 70 day test in 2008 he was third overall in a very strong field.
His first crops of foals contained many Premium and auction foals – he was awarded 1-b Premium at the 2008 Oldenburg Stallion Day and his first licensed son Seine Hoheit was awarded Premium in 2010.
Valentino’ s mare line is complete with Rubinstein, international dressage sire. An accomplished dressage performer, he had 40 wins at Grand Prix level, was a member of the 1996 Olympic team, sired 89 state premium mares and 66 approved stallions.
