St Peter's Students Results from Show Jumping Waikato Event at Mystery Creek

Our St Peter’s riders achieved some fantastic results at the APL Waikato Show Jumping Festival held at Mystery Creek from 4th – 13th November

This is a premier event with many classes having 60+ riders in them so to succeed at a show of this calibre is a wonderful achievement

Special mentions: Yr9 student Madie Smith, who scooped the pool in the 1.10m classes against many experienced adult riders and went on to win the 1.10m Championship event (this was a great performance considering Madie has not had her new horse for very long) and to Yr 12 student Nicola Hammond who achieved another 3rd placing in the second leg of the FEI World Jumping Challenge Category A. The FEI World Jumping Challenge is run over three competitions, and the best two scores of each rider are taken for the final placings.  The top ranked winner after the three competitions will represent New Zealand in the World Jumping Challenge Final in Morocco next year.  This weekend Nicola will head to Pukekohe for the 3rd round, and with 4 clear rounds already banked, she hopes to try and improve on her time.
