MEET THE ISPYHORSES TEAM...

Heather Cato

Director & Founder of iSpyHorses, Manesteam Media Ltd

Heather is a proven senior business operator with many years of experience, recently focusing on the development of iSpyHorses.  Prior to creating Manestream Media Ltd, Heather was Company Director of Cato Packaging Ltd for more than 20 years.  Heather wrote a very successful, award winning, children’s novel and is about to publish her second.  Since the age of ten, Heather has always owned ponies and horses and went on to marry a true horseman whose grandmother owned the very first riding school in NZ, based in Victoria Avenue, Remuera.  Heather and her husband hunted for many years as members of The Pakuranga Hunt Club, and attended PC as children.  Their children rode competitively, and their four grandchildren are also following in the family's hoofprints, each child with their own beautiful pony.  For years now, Heather has been the owner of many top eventers all ridden by New Zealand Olympians both here in NZ and in the UK.  Currently, Heather owns an international eventer, an off the track NZ bred thoroughbred that has competed successfully in the UK, and has now returned to commence the 2017 eventing circuit  in NZ.  Heather saw a need to provide the New Zealand equestrian fraternity with a platform designed specifically to enhance equestrians' advertisements and from which to sell their highly valued, quality horses and ponies both here in NZ and throughout the world - and so iSpyHorses began.

Hannah McAvoy

Administration & Marketing Manager

After completing a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation in 2015 at AUT University, Hannah joined the iSpyHorses team as the Administration & Marketing Manager.  She has been with the company from the very beginning and is the person to go to about everything iSpyHorses! Hannah competes regularly on the New Zealand eventing circuit with her two off the track Thoroughbreds.  Hannah previously worked with a sports events company and was also a member of Pony Club throughout her childhood and passed on her passion by teaching younger children  to ride.  Hannah likes to socialise, enjoys sports and going to the gym.

Sophie Joshua

Sales & Customer Service

Sophie is in her second year studying marketing, commercial law and media studies at Auckland University.  Sophie has experience in supervisory roles in retail and she worked at a large fashion company developing her skills in marketing and advertising.  Always passionate about horses, Sophie has had the pleasure of owning three and was a member of Pony Club as a child.  Unfortunately with her studies, Sophie has had to put riding on hold - another reason why Sophie loves what she does at iSpyHorses, helping people find the best homes possible for their horses!  Sophie loves film, food and keeping fit.

Jamie Le Roux

Sales & Customer Service

Jamie has been riding horses for close to twelve years and currently owns a young thoroughbred.  She has extensive knowledge of the competition scene as well as all the day to day aspects of equestrian.  Having previously worked in real estate she has delightful customer service and a passion for sales.  Jamie is looking forward to commencing her Bachelor of Science specialising in Zoology at Massey University.  Jamie loves outdoor pursuits and spending time with her four year old daughter.

Dave Wilcox

IT Developer

After starting in an engineering background, Dave has moved on to developing websites, working with PHP, MySQL databases, CSS, HTML, Linux and all the trappings which follow on from that.  He has worked with the Silverstripe, Drupal and Joomla CMSes, and Zend Framework. Other projects over the last few years have included his preferred tools of Microsoft Access and Delphi. In the last few years he has freelanced for several companies in Auckland; and previously worked for Incentive Solutions in Auckland, on some heavy-duty PHP and PostgreSQL, with graphs, GoogleMaps, SEO, Excel integration and so on.    Dave now works with iSpyHorses to develop an excellent trading platform for people interested in horses, ponies and all matters equestrian.  Again this requires addition of credit-card payment modules plus handfuls of other new features and amendments.
