It's all about the attitude

"Two things define you - your patience when you have nothing & your attitude when you have everything"

Equestrian is such a levelling sport. It is full of ups and down, not only do you rely on yourself but you're relying on a hole other body and mind. Convincing a horse that what you want to do is fun and enjoyable can be difficult sometimes, and in other cases it's a matter of convincing them that life isn't a race and to take time. Haha.

I have definitely dealt with both ends of the spectrum but I guess that's what makes you a better rider ~ being able to adapt to different horses.

Anywho that's my opinion.

Update on my horses ~

After a rough end to the year last year, the horses are feeling good after their break over Christmas.

I have realised that even at the lower levels fitness is so key, so that has been the focus for the last month.

I have my first competition this weekend for the year at Woodhill Sands just doing a mini ode, with our first horse trial being next weekend at Hunua.
