Humans n Horses™ Competition
And the winner is ...
Molly Buist Brown and Pull the Trigger II, the winners of a $100 Stirrups Equestrian New Zealand voucher, have won the second draw.

“It's hard for me to choose favourites as I've been lucky enough to have had amazing ponies but this one stands out most to me... This 13.1 palomino pony known as 'Pull The Trigger ll' stands at only 137cm tall but that has not stopped him from competing and winning at PGP level, we were even lucky enough to win our first ever GP start!  This pony is a true one in a million, we were lucky enough to purchase trigger when I was 10 years old. Trigger was originally bought for my sister but at that point Rosa was only 8 years old and Trigger hadn't been jumped in 2 years before we bought him therefore a VERY keen pony into jumps which could sometimes become a bit scary! As the big sister, I was just meant to have him for a couple of seasons before Rosa would move on to him but we grew a connection, a very special connection that took me on to some very special wins! This pony not only show jumped but also was an open eventer where he was consistently double clear jumping but with short legs it was hard to make the time aloud!  He was also very good at round the ring and working pony hunter. At the horse of the year show in 2012 we went on to take out the working pony hunter rider of the year! Oh! And did I mention he jumped AND cleared 1.50!! He's an absolute star! He was the smallest in this high jump (1 of only 2 ponies) but that didn't stop him! Trigger thinks he's 17.2 and bullet proof.. He's not afraid of anything!  Now for the sad news about my superstar... Unfortunately in 2014, after the best season where we took out the Nationals pony 1.10 tittles, Canterbury mini Prix championship tittle, South Island pony speed champ (1.15-1.25) and the south Canterbury saddlery series (1.10). Trigger had an accident in the paddock which has caused him to never compete again, Trigger was only 12 years old when he had this accident so still had plenty of life left in him, unfortunately It was right before HOY 2014 which really did suck as we were on a winning streak, But accidents do happen and there's nothing you can do about them.”
