Reggie has done everything from pony club including open days and pony parties, beach riding, hacking out, ribbon days to dressage and eventing. For the last 3 years, he has been at Meadowbank Pony Club.
Reggie excels in Dressage and has placed regularly, scoring in the 70’s in level 0, 1 & 2 dressage competitions. In April 2017 he scored 76.5% in his level 2 test at Woodhill Sands. He moves beautifully and knows when he is on show! He has recently had schooling from Haydee Wells and Cara Popping.
He cleans up at Ribbon Days and was Reserve Champion at the Totara Park Ribbon Day (November 2016). He is super friendly and comes to anyone in the paddock wanting to be taken for a ride. He is good on the ground and never bites or kicks, excellent for farrier, and has never needed the vet (except for a sheath clean and vaccinations).
Reggie would make an excellent dressage pony or second pony for a confident rider. He has beautiful paces and is established with his lateral work.
He has jumped up to 85cm in single jumps, and done 65cm rounds comfortably, He shows great jumping potential but needs a confident rider to compete at SJ and bring him on in this discipline. We took him to Totara Park SJ comp this weekend and he came 3rd in the 50cm class. We didn't go higher as my daughter was already riding her hack in the next classes. His previous owner competed him at pre-training. Unfortunately, my daughter has outgrown him before we were able to really maximize his potential,
**for the last 6 weeks we have had Reggie leased to one of our members (due to her horse being injured) however soon he will need to leave our club due to lack of grazing, so we do need an urgent sale and have reduced his price but only for the right home**
