Demand Ramps for Takapoto VIP Tickets

Tickets are flying out the door to the VIP events at the fast-approaching Takapoto Estate Show Jumping. The two-week equestrian event is known for quality – whether that be in competition, entertainment or wining and dining. Get together a group of friends, entertain corporate clients or bring the family and make the most of this incredible event that brings a taste of European showjumping to the shores of Lake Karapiro.
If it’s glitz and glamour you are after, then the APL Cocktail Function (Saturday, February 29) is where you need to be. Demand is high for this top-notch event which is held in the luxurious Bellevue Arena Marquee. Enjoy a glass of bubbles, with walk and fork food while watching the exciting six-bar competition before dancing the night away at this strictly R18 event.
VIP Grand Prix Sunday (March 1) is the day for corporate hosting while enjoying the pinnacle event of the two-week show. Competition includes an epic trans-Tasman showdown in the Gold Tour Final which is part of the national Equissage Grand Prix Series and the very exciting Horse Accumulator. Enjoy it all from tables of eight in the Bellevue Arena Marquee which has viewing of the two main arenas. 
And there are a host of other fabulous functions to attend. If it is more a family-orientated evening that takes your fancy, the Takapoto Estate Farm to Table function on Thursday (February 27) when the estate opens its pantry to share its exquisite homegrown produce. Enjoy a delicious three-course meal featuring Takapoto’s award-winning Angus beef, freshly-picked vegetables and some of the acclaimed Takapoto Pinot Noir which has twice topped the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
The opening week of Takapoto Estate Show Jumping also has the Harney & Sons High Tea on Sunday (February 23) in the Bellevue Arena Marquee, featuring a grazing table like no other. Expect to be wowed which you enjoy the Equissage Grand Prix and the Anne Symes Memorial Speed Derby Class featuring both cross country and showjumping obstacles. Already entered are Olympians Blyth Tait and Clarke Johnstone along with a number of very well performed showjumpers and eventers.
General admission throughout the week is free and $30 at the weekends. Children under 10 are free every day for general admission only. People are welcome to bring a picnic but there are also plenty of food stalls available onsite as well as a bar.
